Summary
Hugh Douglas Waring worked for the Forest Research Institute in the late 1950s. His work showed that nitrogen addition could be beneficial to radiata pine, provided it was applied during the first few years, there was no deficiency of phosphorus and weeds were controlled.
In 1990 he was joint author of Greening Your Own Australia: an Introduction to Native Plant Communities.
