G. E. Seidel, with his colleague, Rien Habermehl of the Bureau of Mineral Resources, developed a digital computer simulation for the Great Artesian Basin around 1980 and this provides satisfactory data for assessment purposes, planning and management decisions for some of the major aquifers.
