Summary
J. P. Salter was involved in the development of Automatic Trunk Transmission Testing equipment. In 1969 he described the development of a transmission level checker by AWA in response to an Australian Post Office schedule, for use by the telephone technician at a two wire exchange and used to access a call answering relay at a distant centre.
