Summary
(Sir) Cecil Harold Hoskins was chairman and a joint managing director of Hoskins Iron and Steel Co. Ltd from 1925. He moved the family works from Lithgow to Port Kembla in 1927 and formed a new company, Australian Iron and Steel Ltd, to finance the operations, with himself as chairman and joint managing director. The company became a subsidiary of B.H.P. in 1935, with Hoskins remaining general manager of A.I. & S. until 1950 and a director until 1959.
