Summary
Martin R. Freney worked for CSIR Division of Animal Health and Nutrition in the 1930s on fleece chemistry and ecto-parasites in sheep. With M. Lipson, he developed the 'Freney-Lipson' process for shrink-proofing wool. He later joined CSIR Division of Industrial Chemistry, and in 1939 was seconded to the Central Wool Committee to manage the appraisement of the wool clip.
