Person
Brimblecombe, A. R.
Summary
A. R. Brimblecombe did a study of the biology, economic importance and control of the pine bark weevil Aesiotes notabilis Pasc. in 1945. This led to pruning being done only during dry periods in winter, when adult activity was reduced and larval establishment least favourable and eliminated the bark weevil problem in Queensland's hoop pine plantations.
