Summary
Margaret Wigan, a school matron, was the first woman president of any natural history club in Australia.
Details
Moved to Victoria 1916. Matron, Ballarat Grammar School for eight years, and for lesser periods at Church of England Girls' Grammar Schools at Korowa, Ivanhoe and South Yarra (Merton Hall). President, Bird Observers Club 1932-34 (the first woman president of any natural history club in Australia) and later Honorary Life Member.
