Summary
Ken Simpson, author of a field guide to Australian birds, has had extensive experience in leading birdwatching and related subject tours.
Details
Educated University High School, Melbourne. Research Technician in several institutions; lecturer in primary science, Deakin University. President, Bird Observers Club of Australia 1996 till ca 1998 (member since 1951). Wrote Birds in Bass Strait (1972) and is the author/editor of Simpson and Day's Field Guide to the Birds of Australia, which is now in its sixth edition. He holds the Honorary Degree of Master of Science (1974) from Monash University. Australian Natural History Medallion 1996.
