Summary
Jean Alexander was a chemistry demonstrator, senior demonstrator and lecturer at the University of Melbourne from 1921 to 1963. She also lectured at the Mildura Branch University, was Supervisor of Examinations for the University and Public Examinations, and was Dean of Women for 18 months. Alexander served for many years on the Committee of the Victorian Women Graduates' Association, represented Australia at Conferences of the International Federation of University Women overseas, and was a strong supporter of ANZAAS.
