Summary
Richard Johnson, an Anglican clergyman, was appointed Chaplain to the colony of New South Wales in 1784, and returned to London in 1789. While in N.S.W. he collected plants and animals which were sent to Joseph Banks and others in England. The Mitchell Library at the National Library of Australia has a collection of some of his records and letters to Banks.
