Summary

Jack Rayner was one of Australia's top geophysicists. He was Deputy Director (1952-1958) then Director (1958-1969) of the Geology and Geophysics Section of the Commonwealth Bureau of Mineral Resources and was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 1967.
