Born 5 April 1893. Died Adelaide, 12 April 1966. Educated University of Adelaide (BSc 1916, DSc 1935). Lecturer in physic, University of Melbourne 1917-19; acting professor of physics, University of Adelaide 1919; lecturer in physics, University of Tasmania 1920-21; lecturer in physics, University of Adelaide 1922-47, senior lecturer 1947-49, reader 1950-58.
