The Institution of Chemical Engineers in Australia was established in 1960. The purpose of the Institution is to advance the chemical engineering profession through education, research and the publication of papers. In 2002 the Institution had approximately 3100 members. It is now called The Institution of Chemical Engineers or IChemE.
