Summary
The Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Railway Engineering and Technologies was established in July 2001 with a seven year grant. Their mission was "to deliver decision-making tools, knowledge and technologies necessary to address industry needs for the effective rail management, operation, maintenance and development of the rail industry." In 2008 a 7 year grant was awarded to the CRC's successor the CRC for Rail Innovation.
