Summary
The G. K. Williams Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Extractive Metallurgy was established in July 1991. The CRC carried out research on the high temperature extraction and refining of metals. Participants in the CRC were the Australian Mineral Industries Research Association Ltd., the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Melbourne and the CSIRO's Minerals Division. In 2001 the CRC ceased operations.
