The Department of Physiology at the University of Melbourne is part of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences' School of Medicine. From their Web site, February 2002: "The Department's strategic research interests are in the fields of cardiorenal and nerve and muscle physiology. Underpinning these strengths is a remarkable breadth and depth of research expertise and equipment - from human exercise metabolic laboratories, through patch clamp, confocal and electrophysiological teams to cellular and molecular laboratories with PCR robots, DNA synthesisers and sequencers."
