Summary
The Centre for Applied Social Research is part of the School of Social Science & Planning at RMIT University. The Centre is located at the University's City campus. CASR undertakes research on key issues of contemporary social change and social policy, on the principle that good and equitable policy requires public debate that is informed by applied research. Central areas of research expertise in the Centre include social policy and welfare restructuring, labour market change, work and family/life balance, drug policy, refugee policy and contemporary gender relations.
