Summary
Fyvie and Stewart, was a partnership between William Fyvie and Alexander Stewart, carrying on business as Consulting Engineers, representatives of engineering and machinery firms, and machinery indentors. Their offices were at 360 Collins street, Melbourne, and at 25 O'Connell street, Sydney, New South Wales. They were at the forefront of the exploitation of new techniques including the use of Oxy-acetylene for cutting and welding steel, and the Linde liquid air process for making oxygen and in establishing the "Commonwealth Oxygen Company" plant in Alexandria, New South Wales.
The partnership was dissolved by mutual consent on 1 May 1932.
