Summary

Timbrol Ltd was established during the 1920s at Rhodes, New South Wales. It was Australia's first major manufacturer of organic chemicals and in its early years, faced no competition from within Australia. In the mid 1950s Timbrol Ltd was purchased by USA company, Union Carbide, forming Union Carbide Australia Ltd.
