Summary
In 1886 two men, John Mayne and Enoch Nickless, began a parcel delivery service in Melbourne. Incorporated as a public company in 1926, Mayne Nickless went on to provide freight services to all Australian capital cities and major ports. They also branched into armoured car cash deliveries. Since the 1980s Mayne Nickless Limited has developed as a specialist service provider of health care and contract logistics. In 2002 Mayne Nickless Limited changed its name to Mayne Group Limited and expanded into the health industry. In November 2005 the company was bought out by Symbion Health Limited.
