Summary

Established in 1934, as the engineering consulting firm of A. S. MacDonald and Wagner, it changed to Macdonald Wagner & Priddle in 1948, it was then incorporated in 1971 as Macdonald Wagner & Priddle Pty Ltd, and in 1984 changed its name to Macdonald Wagner Pty Ltd.

In 1989 Macdonald Wagner merged with the Connell Group of companies to form the Connell Wagner Group. At that time Macdonald Wagner had a staff of 300 and a $25 million turnover, and Connell had a staff of 460 and a turnover of $30 million. At the time, Tony Denham was the chief executive of Macdonald Wagner, and Jack Wynhoven was the chief executive of Connell.
