Summary
The Wheat Research Unit began as part of the Bread Research Institute of Australia. In 1958 it was transferred to the CSIRO. The Bread Research Institute continued to supervise the Unit, until 1988, when it was incorporated into the Division of Plant Industry. The Wheat Research Unit was followed by the Grain Quality Research Laboratory, in 1992.
