Summary
The CSIR Metrology Section became the CSIR/O Division of Metrology in 1945, at the end of the Second World War, as one of the three divisions of the CSIR/O National Standards Laboratory (NSL). In 1962 the Division was amalgamated with the CSIR/O Division of Electrotechnology, forming the CSIRO Division of Applied Physics. The Division of Metrology (1945-1962) traversed the change of CSIR to CSIRO in 1949.
