Summary

The Australian Wool Testing Authority [II] was established as a result of the Wool Industry Act, 1962, and replaced another entity with the same name in July 1963. Functions carried out by the Authority included the testing of wool and wool products. The Authority ceased to be a Government Authority in August 1982, becoming the Australian Wool Testing Authority Limited, a company limited by guarantee.
