Summary
The increasing population of rural Victoria in the mid-1800s led to the creation of many district agricultural and pastoral societies. One such society was the Ballarat Pastoral and Agricultural Society. The Society was amalgamated with the Western District Pastoral and Agricultural Society in 1873.
