Summary

The E. O. Tuck Medal has been awarded by ANZIAM (Australian and New Zealand Industrial And Applied Mathematics), a Special Interest Group of the Australian Mathematical Society since 2013 (annually from 2017). It recognises outstanding research by a mid-career researcher in the fields of applied and/or industrial mathematics where a significant proportion of their work has been conducted in Australia or New Zealand. Distinguished service to the field of applied mathematics, including to ANZIAM activities, are also recognised. Recipients must have been a member of ANZIAM for at least five years. Ernest Tuck was Elder Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Adelaide from 1990 to 2002, and President of ANZIAM 1997 - 1998.
