Summary

Sir Otto Frankel was Chief, Division of Plant Industry, CSIRO, Canberra 1951-1962, a member of the Executive 1962-1966 and, from 1966, has worked as an honorary research fellow in the Division of Plant Industry. He was among the first to warn of the problems in the loss of plant biodiversity.
