Summary
The Bob Robertson Award recognises outstanding contributions to the field of biophysics in Australia and New Zealand. Inaugurated in 2002 by the Australian Society of Biophysics, the Award is open to financial members of the Society who have made outstanding contributions in research, while biophysics teaching and service to the discipline are also considered. Rutherford (Bob) Robertson was a major figure in science in Australia, being Professor of Botany at the University of Adelaide, a member of the executive of CSIRO and President of the Australian Academy of Science.
