Summary

Clarrie Lang was a minister of religion and a keen naturalist and ornithologist. In 1921 he was ordained in the Church of Christ, being assigned to several congregations in Melbourne as well as Ararat and Shepparton in rural Victoria. Between 1949and 1960 he was at Red Cliffs in northern Victoria. Here he was the inaugural President of the Sunraysia Field Naturalists Club. Lang joined the Royal Australasian Ornithological Union in 1925 and was Treasurer for six years. He was also a skilled photographer, his photos being included in his published papers and often when he gave talks.
