Summary

The Baragwanath Award was presented occasionally by the Australian Institute of Energy from 1981 to 2013. It recognised outstanding lifetime contributions by individuals to coal science and research in Australia. George Baragwanath was a pioneer of coal to oil studies before WWII, and had a long career in brown coal utilisation technology.
