Summary
Wittunga Botanic Garden is one of two regional gardens of the Adelaide Botanic Garden (ABG). Located in Blackwood, a suburb in the Adelaide foothills, it features displays of Australian and South African plants. It was originally the property of Edwin Ashby, a noted naturalist and advocate for Australian flora. Ashby developed a deep-watering system that is now used in many gardens. The property was donated to the ABG in 1965 by Edwin's son, Keith, and opened to the public in 1975.
