Summary
Ernest Crisp was a highly-respected radiologist, most of whose career was in Melbourne. For many years he was partner in a private diagnostic radiology clinic, ultimately becoming senior partner. He was also associated in an honorary capacity with a number of Melbourne hospitals, including as Honorary radiologist and Lecturer at the clinical school at the Royal Melbourne Hospital from 1947 to 1963. Crisp had a long association with the College of Radiologists of Australasia (and its successors), being President from 1962 to 1963, and receiving the Gold Medal in 1982. He was instrumental in the establishment of Australia's first chair of radiology, at University of Melbourne.
