Summary
The prime object of the Association was "to promote the general advancement of Electrical and Telegraphic Science and its applications, and to facilitate the exchange of information and ideas on these subjects amongst the members of the Association". To achieve this, it would hold meetings, exhibitions, publish proceedings, and form a library.
The meeting to form the Queensland Electrical Association was held on 15 March 1898; its first ordinary meeting was held on 18 May 1898; and its first "Journal of the Queensland Electrical Association" was published shortly afterwards. Its last general meeting was held on 22 September 1911, and the Association merged with the Queensland Institute of Engineers, in October 1911. Following a final meeting on 16 Januray 1912, its funds and library were also transferred.
Details
