Summary
Peter Good was a gardener and foreman at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew in the 1790s. In 1795 he supervised the traffic of live plants to and from India for Kew. He was chosen to accompany the voyage of Investigator to the Antipodes, under the command of Matthew Flinders. Good's role was to assist the botanist, Robert Brown, in collecting plant specimens and seeds. The legume genus Goodia (Fabaceae) was named in his honour.
