Summary
William Colledge was a pharmacist and naturalist whose interests centred on microscopic pond life, especially rotifers and mosquitoes. He became noted as an authority on the latter. Colledge was President of both the Field Naturalists' Club of Queensland and the Royal Society of Queensland, in the Proceedings of which he published 15 papers on his investigations.
