Summary
The Field Naturalists' Section of Royal Society of Queensland was founded in 1886 largely at the instigation of Henry Tryon. Intended as a general natural history society, it's activities leaned towards the botanical. Enthusiasm for the Section waned, its last excursion (to Eumundi) being held at Easter 1894.
