Summary

The 'Mechanical and Chemical Engineering Transactions' [ISSN: 0020-3327] was published by the Institution of Engineers Australia, between 1965 and 1975. It contains scientific and research papers on mechanical and chemical engineering topics relevant to Australia, and was usually published once or twice a year with volume numbers "MC.1 - MC.11",

Previously, from 1959-1964, mechanical engineering technical papers were published with electrical engineering papers as 'Electrical and mechanical engineering transactions' [ISSN: 0424-7744] with volume numbers "EM.1 - EM.6".

From 1976, this journal was superseded by the 'Mechanical engineering transactions' [ISSN: 0313-5519].

Details

An index to the articles in these Transactions is included in the Institution's publication "Author and Subject Index of publications 1920-1968"; in the CSIRO "Australian Science Index 1957-1983"; and electronically in the Institution's "Australian Engineering Database (ENGINE)" 1980-2018.
Partial collections of digitised copies of these Transactions are also available, see 'Published resources' for details.
