Summary
The Royal Society of Tasmania Medal was established in 1927. It is awarded usually every four years for substantial original research in any subject within the Society's purview, with a significant part of that research having been conducted while the recipient was resident in Tasmania. The recipient must be an active Member of the Society, and is invited to deliver the Royal Society of Tasmania Lecture.
