Summary

The Western Australian Environmental Protection Authority [1] was a statutory authority established in 1971 under the Environmental Protection Act. In early 1987 it subsumed the functions of the Department of Conservation and Environment (1975 - 1987) and became a department, the Environmental Protection Authority [2] (1987 - 1994).
