Summary

The Sir Joseph Verco Medal was inaugurated 1928 by the Royal Society of South Australia with first Medal being presented in 1929. It is awarded for distinguished scientific investigations carried out by a member of the Society. The medal honours Verco who was President of the Society from 1903 to 1920, and a renowned physician and malacological researcher.
