Summary
Peter Spradbrow was a virologist whose research focused on avian and cattle diseases. He was involved in improvements in vaccines against avian viruses including fowlpox and Newcastle disease in chickens. Spradbrow was team leader for the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research project that produced a new duck plague vaccine for Vietnam. He also served on committees that set standards for avian vaccines used in Australia.
