Plant specimens collected by Jessie were sent to Victorian Government Botanist Ferdinand von Mueller in Melbourne probably through the agency of Adolph Wuerfel who collected for Mueller. Over 250 of Spencer's specimens are in the National Herbarium of Victoria.
