Summary

The University of Southern Queensland (USQ) was established in 1992. The origins of USQ can be traced to the Queensland Institute of Darling Downs (1967 - 1971), which became the Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education (1971 - 1990) which became the University College of Southern Queensland (1990 - 1992) which finally became the University of Southern Queensland.
