Summary

Colin Dobson made substantial contributions to knowledge of immunity to parasitic infections, including the nature of protective immunity against gastrointestinal nematodes, genetic control of immunity and immunosuppression. His interests included the interactions between parasite and hosts and in later years to practical control of metazoan parasites by vaccination. Dobson was involved in the foundation of Australian Society for Parasitology, serving as President 1983 - 1985.
