Summary
Bjarne Dahl, a forester, came from Norway in 1928 to work for the Forests Commission of Victoria. His career lead him to develop a strong interest in native Australian forests, particularly the Silvertop Ash (Eucalyptus sieberi). He bequeathed his estate to the Forests Commission of Victoria to establish a trust to promote and protect eucalyptus trees.
