Summary
The Statistical Society of New South Wales was established in 1947 to further the study and application of statistical methods. In 1962 the Society joined with the Canberra Statistical Society to form the Statistical Society of Australia. The reformed Society continued to objects of its predecessors: to further the study, application and good practice of statistical theory and methods.

Australian journal of statistics 0004-9581 vol. 1 (April 1959) - vol. 39(3) (December 1997) (which became the journal of the Statistical Society of Australia on its establishment in 1962).
