Summary
Reginald Stout worked for the Bureau of Meteorology for 35 years and played a major role in building up the Bureau facilities, particularly the radiosonde and radar networks and other meteorological instrumentation. He retired in 1981 and authored History of Major Meteorological Installation in Australia from 1945 to 1981, Metarch Papers No. 8, 1996.
