Born about 1854. Died 10 December 1915. Collector, at one stage dingo trapper on Cambecanya Station, Pine Plains, and first Ranger of Wilsons Promontory National Park 1909-ca 1911. Wrote a 'nature notes' column in the Melbourne Argus from 1904, under the nom-de-plume 'Mallee Bird'. Active in Field Naturalists' Club of Victoria.
