Born Lockhart, New South Wales, 22 December 1908. Died Ballina, New South Wales, 22 October 1992. Educated Universities of Sydney (1929-30) and Auckland (BSc). Junior chemist, Colonial Sugar Co. Ltd 1927-30, CSR's Research Department, Pyrmont 1931-36, Chelsea Sugar Refining, Auckland 1936-40, Pyrmont Research Department from 1940, with CSR till 1969, being progressively Chemist, Supervisor, Area Superintendent, Production Manager and Factory Manager of CSR Chemicals Ltd, Rhodes.
