Summary

Herbert Hines was Associate Professor / Professor of Biochemistry 1949 - 1971, and Dean of the Faculty of Science, 1962 - 1971, University of Queensland. For more than 42 years he was the driving force behind establishing and leading biochemistry within the University, from 1929 when he commenced as the lecturer in Agricultural Chemistry until he retired as Professor in 1971.
